Summer Basketball Day Camp

Above the Rim Basketball School offers fun and exciting summer day camps for children and youth ages 7 to 15. These camps are run in conjunction with the City of Ottawa or the Municipality of North Grenville (Kemptville). Fundamental skills are taught by experienced instructors, and the learning experience is enhanced by drills and games.

What to Expect

• Five full days of fun and instruction in basketball fundamentals including shooting, ball handling, rebounds, passing, defence and team play.
• Competitions through game play, contests and tournament.
• Highly trained and experienced teachers and coaches.
• Players at the beginning, intermediate and competitive levels welcome!
• Players placed into groupings according to age and ability.
• All participants receive an Above the Rim t-shirt, a group photo and have opportunities to win other prizes.
• Pizza lunch on Friday afternoon!
• Pre-care and post-care available starting at 8:00 am and finishing at 5:00 pm.
• Players have the opportunity of participating in an additional swimming program at a municipal pool at least twice during the week at no additional cost. Swimming options vary depending on camp location. See below for details.

Registration

Registration for Above the Rim Basketball School programs is done through the city of Ottawa (for Ottawa programs) or the municipality of North Grenville (for Kemptville programs).

To register for any program in the city of Ottawa:

To register you will need the program barcode and an individual PIN number provided by the city. To register for any program in Kemptville, contact the Municipality of North Grenville or email abovetherimottawa@gmail.com for registration information.
